Friar Don Miller. OFM
I am a Franciscan priest. I spent my early years of ministry in New Mexico working among the Pueblo Native Americans and the Hispanics. In 1978 I began my years in academics working as a chaplain, faculty member, and administrator at various universities in the southwest and the midwest. I taught various course in theology, especially in my area of specialty which is moral theology. I have been the Vocation Director for the Province of Saint John the Baptist since 2003.

Back to work

Yesterday and today I returned to the office--first time since January 3rd. It felt good to take advantage of the warmer weather and the resulting absence of snow and ice and get back to work. I've returned both days very tired, but happy to be gaining a more active role in the Vocation ministry. I can sense the daily improvements in my mobility and stamina. Your prayers and best wishes are very appreciated.

Making Progress on the Knee

I just got back from a visit with the orthopedic surgeon who is well pleased with my progress. He cleared me for more aggressive physical therapy and modest weight-bearing walking with a walker. The script calls for slow but progressive increase of use of the knee.
Greatest blessing: i don't have to wear the leg brace at night. THANK GOD.
Thank you for the prayers and best wishes.
