I am a Franciscan priest. I spent my early years of ministry in New Mexico working among the Pueblo Native Americans and the Hispanics. In 1978 I began my years in academics working as a chaplain, faculty member, and administrator at various universities in the southwest and the midwest. I taught various course in theology, especially in my area of specialty which is moral theology. I have been the Vocation Director for the Province of Saint John the Baptist since 2003.

Big Month for the Friars in Formation

 

We have some big celebrations for our men in formation this month.

 

William Estrellanes

August 2 Bro. William Estrellanes, O.F.M. professed Vows for the first time as he finished his novitiate. He plans to move to Chicago to pursue studies at the Catholic Theological Union.

Ramon Castallon

Zach Bischler

 

On August 15 Bros. Zach Bischler, O.F.M. (right) and Ramon Castellon, O.F.M. (left) began their novitiate  year in Burlington, WI.

 

 

Richard Goodin

August 17 Bro. Richard Goodin, O.F.M. will be ordained to the transitional diaconate. (The ordaining bishop is a close friend of the family and Richard's previous pastor.)

 

Clifford Hennings

On August 31 Bro. Clifford Hennings, O.F.M. will make his Solemn Profession of Vows becoming a full member of the Order of Friars Minor in the Province of St. John the Baptist.

Finally, On August 30 Jeremiah Sauber (left) and Nickolas Thorvaldsen (right) will join us as new Postulants.
