I am a Franciscan priest. I spent my early years of ministry in New Mexico working among the Pueblo Native Americans and the Hispanics. In 1978 I began my years in academics working as a chaplain, faculty member, and administrator at various universities in the southwest and the midwest. I taught various course in theology, especially in my area of specialty which is moral theology. I have been the Vocation Director for the Province of Saint John the Baptist since 2003.

Four Approved by Admission Board

The Admissions Board of the Franciscan Province of Saint John the Baptist Province approved four more men for the Postulancy class of 2010. Daniel Bircher, Adam Farkas, Joseph DiAte and Jonathan Beer(l to r) will be joining Eric Seguin who was approved at the January meeting of the Admissions Board.

Dan Bircher (29) comes to us from Harrisburg, PA; Adam Farkas (21) from Richmond, MI; Joseph DiAte (20) from Chapmansboro, TN; and Jonathan Beer (20) from Hamilton, OH.


The Admissions Board will meet again in April and May to consider other prospectives.
  
We welcome these men and assure them of our prayerful support as they prepare to begin living our Franciscan life in Initial Formation

I want to congratulate Dan, Adam, Joseph, and Jonathan on their acceptance into the postulancy program. I am looking forward to begining postulancy with them in July. May the Holy spirit continue his work and bless this province with more vocations.
