Friar Don Miller. OFM
I am a Franciscan priest. I spent my early years of ministry in New Mexico working among the Pueblo Native Americans and the Hispanics. In 1978 I began my years in academics working as a chaplain, faculty member, and administrator at various universities in the southwest and the midwest. I taught various course in theology, especially in my area of specialty which is moral theology. I have been the Vocation Director for the Province of Saint John the Baptist since 2003.

New Project for Website

DSCF0332 DSCF0334January 2 I was at the Novitiate in Cedar Lake, IN to do some videocamming (is that a real word?) for a project that I have been dreaming of for about 18 months. What I have been wanting to do is to post some small videos of our men in formation on the Franciscan Formation page of our website. Finally the DSCF0339 project is falling into place as I was able to film our five novices. (Friar Tim Tran is being filmed in the picture top right.)

Friar Dan Helfrich took the pictures of me. I have no idea who took the one of him and Friar Roger Lopez in the photo bottom right. (At least there is some photographic evidence that the novitiate has not taken all humor and playfulness out of life.)

Once I film the other men in formation and edit the videos we should be able to post them on the website.
